Turning aspirations into actions: Activ’s bold leap into renewable energy projects in 2024
The year 2023 was very challenging! But what’s in store for Activ in 2024?
🔋 Our focus remains steadfast on energy solutions for power plants, especially in the Western Balkans region, where despite strong efforts, CO2 emissions from major power plants pose significant challenges. The record air pollution in Bosnia and Herzegovina’s capital last December underscores the urgency of our mission.
💡Diving deeper into renewable energy, we’re expanding our scope to encompass hydro, solar, wind, biomass, and hydrogen projects. While the transition is gradual in Southeast Europe, the increasing climate pressures on energy markets and incentivization of renewables are driving a much-needed shift. 🌬️☀️
🏭 We continue to support power plant rehabilitation, ensuring a smooth transition towards greener energy.
🤝 Plus, we’re intruducing innovative solutions in collaboration with our partners, to refine energy procurement strategies.
🌟 With the European Commission’s recent announcement of a €680 million investment package, including renewable energy projects in the Western Balkans, the market potential in Southeast Europe is more vibrant than ever.
P.S: Shoutout to Serbia🇷🇸, which is leading the way in decarbonization as per the Energy Community’s latest report, and setting a benchmark with their long-term low-carbon development strategies and revised laws on renewable energy usage.
Looking ahead, we are fully equipped and eager to continue our journey towards sustainable energy solutions. 🙌
