JCOAL Seminar in Serbia dedicated to environmental technologies
Coal is an important source of energy in Serbia and represents a stable power supply. Nevertheless, Serbia is one of the countries which is aware that using coal without appropriate measures and technologies has a detrimental impact on the environment. With this in mind, Japan Coal Energy Center (JCOAL) organised a technology seminar in the Sava Center in Belgrade on 20 February 2018. The broad seminar program covered topics such as energy policy, air pollution control for thermal power plants and environmental technologies. Not only did ACTIV take part in the event, it also actively assisted JCOAL with the organisation. JCOAL is a government-mandated institution that mediates between the Japanese government, public sector and private players for the development and introduction of highly efficient clean coal technologies (CCT) to ensure energy supply sustainability in the future.
