Wind energy production peaks in Southeastern Europe for a day
On May 9, 2024, Croatia achieved a notable distinction by generating the highest percentage of its electricity from wind farms compared to all other EU member countries and the wider European area. 💨🇭🇷
In April, wind energy in Croatia generated 204 GWh of electricity, accounting for 14.7% of its total electricity production, with a capacity factor of 24.9%, according to the Croatian Association of Renewable Energy Sources (OIEH). 🌬️⚡
While ACTIV has contributed significantly as a partner in regional energy projects across Southeastern Europe, the integration of renewable energy sources continues to evolve. 🌍🔋 Notable progress has been made in overcoming some barriers, yet several challenges persist, including infrastructure limitations, regulatory hurdles, economic constraints, and issues related to public perception and education. 🚧⚖️💰🧠
Despite these challenges, ACTIV remains committed to its mission. We work closely with local governments and stakeholders to improve infrastructural capabilities and advocate for more cohesive regulatory frameworks. 🤝🏛️ Our efforts also extend to facilitating financial solutions that make renewable projects more feasible and educating communities about the long-term benefits of such initiatives. 💡📚
💪 With continued perseverance and collaboration, significant progress is possible.
